Unlock Flight: Your Guide to Wings and Freedom in Gotham Knights

Waddup Belfry heads! Your favorite bat-fan boy is back to shed some vigilante-level insights on unlocking that sweet glider/wingsuit in Gotham Knights. As a veteran of Rocksteady‘s Arkham series with hours upon hours of Gothic flight time logged, I‘ve got the expert take on how the newest Batman family flies.

Soaring in Gotham Ain‘t Easy

Let‘s glide back and review why taking a dive off Lady Gotham ain‘t as easy as just flapping your cape. Gotham City ain‘t your average metropolis for heroes on the climb. We‘re talking dense, vertical urban jungle here – like webbed with over 700 towers connected by elevated train tracks. And the Knights are dealing with no grapnel boost either thanks to Bats‘ hardware sitting 6 feet under.

So earning your wings takes dedication on the ground first before you can ever taste those updrafts.

Checking Prerequisites Off the Gotham Grocery List

Yada yada, let‘s glaze past the basics: build up your Knighthood cred by training in the belfry, stopping pre-med crimes, and KO‘ing mid-level thugs in alleyways. And no cheating with XP boosters!

With those fetch quests handled, here‘s the real golden ticket…

The Mask is the Key to the Kingdom Come

Come ‘round the back of the belfry and brush off that display case real nice. See the brooding black mask of the Bat himself? One examine interaction is all you need for lift off! Cue gliding tutorial, enter standard "wax on, wax off" training montage, and ta-da – you‘ve got wings, baby!

Now for the personal pro tips on riding air currents through Gotham‘s urban canyon like a true Knight…

Gliding for Gotham Glory

Alright for real – for my money, Barbs has the best glide action with that embossed cape of hers. One button for grace, the other for diving like a hungry blood-bat headed straight for the jugular! Once you know the streets, dropping between buildings and catching a last minute updraft never gets old. Makes ownin‘ Premeditated Crimes a breeze too.

Trust me – 140 hours in Gotham and I still stop just to admire those broodin‘ gothic skies with Barbs in freefall. Flight unlocks a whole new dynamic in cracking cases, catching crims, and just straight up savoring the city. And when you‘re soaring on the winds way up past the Kane Memorial Bridge with the neon blurred in your misty eyes, you really feel yourself becoming the Bat.

Alright, that‘s all the thieves and curses I‘ve got for now my fellow freaks. Stay grinding through Gotham‘s grime-laden streets and aim for those spires that scrape the sky! Who knows – maybe I‘ll glimpse your glidin‘ silhouette through my scope someday as we watch over Gotham together…
