Locating the Lantern Puzzle
To find the lantern puzzle, you first need to access the Lantern Fest Tour location. This is found on the east side of the Fortnite island, just south of Brutal Bastion (see map below).

Once you arrive at the Lantern Fest Tour:
- Head straight from the main entrance gate
- Turn left just before reaching Bounty Bolivard
- Look for a large green tented glass structure with glowing lanterns inside
- Interact with the structure to activate the puzzle

It‘s along the main road through the POI and is a tent with green walls and a yellow roof. There are paper lanterns inside the tent which you need to light in the correct order.
So be on the lookout for the green and yellow tent with lanterns directly left of Bounty Bolivard. Interact with it to spawn the puzzle.
Solving the Lantern Puzzle
Activating the puzzle spawns a series of five lanterns hovering inside the tent. An icon displays above each lantern, showing either a camel, sun, island, cactus, or palm tree.
To solve the puzzle, you must interact with the lanterns in this specific order:
- Camel
- Sun
- Island
- Cactus
- Palm Tree
Once you light the final lantern in the correct order, congratulatory sounds will play, signalling the puzzle is solved!
Claiming Your 20,000 XP
After solving the puzzle correctly, you‘ll see an on-screen notification that you earned 20,000 XP! This massive chunk of experience points goes a long way towards unlocking your next Battle Pass reward or character skin style.
