How to Shoot Down 3 Reinforcement Choppers in Warzone 2 DMZ

As a seasoned Call of Duty expert and social media marketing guru with over 10 years of experience, I‘m excited to provide this comprehensive guide to taking down 3 reinforcement choppers with the SAKIN MG38 in Warzone 2‘s intense new DMZ mode.

A Brief History of DMZ

For context, DMZ is the brand new open-world extraction mode introduced in Warzone 2.0 that drops operators onto Al Mazrah’s sprawling map with mission-based objectives.

DMZ pulls aspects from previous CoD modes like Spec Ops and Warzone, blending PvE and PvP gameplay for a truly unique and challenging experience. It‘s also our first chance to explore Al Mazrah outside of standard Warzone.

Since its launch on November 16, 2022, DMZ has quickly built a passionate player base, with over 1.2 million players jumping in within the first week.

Why This SAKIN MG38 Chopper Mission is So Tricky

Now, among the many exciting missions you can take on in DMZ, this specific contract stands out for its difficulty.

Taking down any airborne target in CoD requires pinpoint accuracy and weapon control. Chopper hitboxes are small, and their momentum adds complexity to leading shots.

Factor in DMZ‘s dynamic open zones with enemies attacking from all sides, and this mission becomes incredibly tricky.

Based on community feedback, it‘s widely considered one of the toughest missions for average players. But have no fear! By the end of this guide, you‘ll have the skill and knowledge to take down those pesky reinforcement choppers.

Step 1 – Level Up and Customize the SAKIN MG38

The SAKIN MG38 unlocks at level 16 in Warzone 2.0 multiplayer. Luckily, it‘s one of the more versatile LMGs, striking a balance between mobility and firepower.

Here are some key traits that make it great for DMZ:

  • Large 100 Round Magazine – Perfect for taking out groups of enemies
  • Fast ADS Speed – Aids in quickly acquiring targets
  • Low Recoil – Helps accurately track airborne enemies

To hit level 17 efficiently, I recommend jumping into small map playlists like Shoot House. Focus on completing objectives, getting kills, and just generally playing the objective.

It should only take a few hours of dedicated play to go from level 16 to the required level 17.

Once it hits level 17, you need to customize it for this chopper-destroying loadout:

VLK 4.0 Optic – Clean sight picture and aiming stability

20” Bruen Isenhov Barrel – Major boost to bullet velocity for leading shots

Soshki Bipod – Reduces recoil for sustained fire accuracy

150 Round Box – Large ammo capacity so you rarely need to reload

SAS Combat Grip – Decreases flinch for staying on target when shot

Focus – Further flinch resistance to not get knocked off target

Radar – Spot enemies and inbound choppers quicker

This build maximizes the SAKIN’s stability, range, and ammunition capacity for taking down air streaks. The optic and bipod also help tremendously with the precise aiming required.

Step 2 – Eliminate 10 Enemies at Al Malik Terminal

Now it‘s time to drop into Al Malik Terminal armed with your customized SAKIN MG38.

This medium-sized POI is located at the southeast corner of Al Mazrah. It‘s an open airport zone with some cover opportunities amongst the parked planes and hangars.

Here are my best tips for quickly eliminating 10 enemies:

  • Activate the UAV tower to reveal enemy locations
  • Use the SAKIN’s large magazine to spray down groups
  • Toss flashbangs when pushing corners to stun enemies
  • Slide cancel to make yourself a difficult target
  • Don‘t be afraid to play aggressive and run-and-gun
  • If you die, retry from the start to keep progress
  • Bring an ammo box field upgrade to keep your SAKIN loaded

With some run-and-gun gameplay, you should be able to rack up 10 kills fairly quickly. Just play smart, use cover to your advantage, and leverage the SAKIN‘s strengths.

Step 3 – Shoot Down 3 Reinforcement Choppers

This is the real challenge – shooting down 3 air reinforcement choppers. Based on my experience, here are some tips:

  • Find an elevated position with cover but view of the sky
  • Watch for choppers flying low or hovering, easier to hit
  • Aim for the tail rotor to cripple choppers quickly
  • Lead shots to account for chopper momentum
  • Focus fire on one chopper at a time until it smokes
  • The SAKIN‘s 150 rounds allows 1-2 chopper takedowns before reloading
  • Field Upgrade Pro allows you to replenish ammo and armor
  • Have a launcher or bullets left to finish a smoking chopper

The key is patience and not getting discouraged. Keep cover between you and enemies, watch the skies, lead your shots, and eventually you‘ll get the timing down to swat these choppers down.

Once you finally destroy 3 of them, the mission will complete and you‘ll get your rewards. Nice work!

Additional Tips for DMZ Success

Here are some final tips from my experience for completing DMZ missions successfully:

  • Play with a squad – Teammates help immensely
  • Have a launcher secondary – Emergency air streak stopper
  • Run Cold Blooded – Stay off AI targeting systems
  • Listen for audio cues – Reinforcement choppers have unique sounds
  • Keep moving – Don‘t stay still or you‘re an easy target
  • Use cover wisely – Peak out to shoot then back into cover
  • Level up weapons ASAP – Upgrade guns for maximum effectiveness
  • Watch the minimap – Don‘t get ambushed from behind or flanked
  • Be patient – Don‘t rush, take your time to finish the objective

Closing Thoughts

DMZ‘s blend of PvE and PvP gameplay provides such a unique and dynamic experience compared to traditional CoD modes.

Taking down 3 elusive reinforcement choppers is certainly one of the more difficult missions you‘ll take on. But with the right SAKIN MG38 loadout, tactical gameplay, and a little perseverance, you can check this tricky contract off your list.

As a CoD expert and social media marketing guru, it was my pleasure to provide this extensive walkthrough. I hope it helps and equips you to take down those pesky choppers. Now get out there, load up your SAKIN, and start swatting these birds out of the sky!
