Unlocking All Sacred Seals in Genshin Impact‘s Dune of Magma

Genshin Impact‘s latest 3.1 update "King Deshret and the Three Magi" introduced an array of new content for Travelers to explore, including new characters, domains, quests and equipment. One of the major additions was a sprawling new desert area called The Dune of Magma.

Dotted across this perilous fiery landscape are ancient magical seals known as "Sacred Seals", which can bestow useful buffs and need to be unlocked by players. Specifically, there are 5 Sacred Seals located in and around The Dune of Magma region for Travelers to discover.

In this comprehensive guide, we will cover where to find all of these seals, how to unlock them, and strategies for tackling the challenges they present.

Overview of Sacred Seals in Genshin Impact

Before diving into the Dune of Magma seals, let‘s first understand what Sacred Seals are in Genshin Impact.

Sacred Seals are ancient magical locks created by the sages of past civilizations. Unlocking them grants your party special buffs known as "Dictums" which provide useful combative effects.

However, the trials needed to unlock Sacred Seals are not easy. They are hidden in remote areas and guarded by various traps and enemies. Figuring out the seal‘s challenge and then successfully completing it is needed to reap its Dictum buff reward.

With the new desert area in 3.1, Mihoyo has introduced several new Sacred Seals for travelers to locate and unlock. Let‘s look at where to find them all.

All Sacred Seal Locations in The Dune of Magma

There are 5 Sacred Seals scattered around the sprawling Dune of Magma zone. Their names and locations are:

1. Sacred Seal: Raised Arm

  • Location: Inside the Duat Temple Pyramid next to a large fan along the back wall

2. Sacred Seal: Valley

  • Location: In an underground room between two Fungi enemies

3. Sacred Seal: Valley II

  • Location: Underground area with Teleport Waypoint, next to a Primal Sandglass

4. Sacred Seal: Thunderstrike

Strategies to Unlock The Seals

With the seal locations found, we now need to successfully complete each seal‘s challenge to obtain its buff-granting Dictum.

The trials differ but generally involve defeating enemies and solving puzzles within a time limit. Recommended Adventure Ranks and gear levels for unlocking the seals are:

  • Raised Arm: AR 30+, Recommended Combat Level 60
  • Valley: AR 30+, Recommended Combat Level 50
  • Valley II: AR 30+, Recommended Combat Level 60
  • Thunderstrike: AR 40+, Recommended Combat Level 70
  • Ceremony: AR 45+, Recommended Combat Level 80

Use high HP characters and food buffs when attempting seals above your Adventure Rank. Prioritize avoiding environmental damage from sheer heat/cold rather than DPS.

The precise trial objectives for each seal are:

  • Raised Arm: Defeat the Ruin Sergeant within 20 seconds
  • Valley: Defeat all the Whopperflowers and Fungi within 30 seconds
  • Valley II: Defeat the Ruin Graders within 35 seconds
  • Thunderstrike: Activate all Electrogranum Conductors within 20 seconds
  • Ceremony: Defeat all enemies within 60 seconds

A key tip when tackling any trials is bringing the right elements to break shields quickly. Use Cryo against Electro shields, Pyro against Cryo shields etc. Food and potion buffs are also very helpful here.
