As a long-time fan of MMOs and open world RPGs, I was eagerly awaiting the release of Tower of Fantasy. This exciting new game promised to deliver an immense alien world brimming with mystery and adventure.
Now that I‘ve spent over 50 hours uncovering Aida‘s secrets, I can safely say that Tower of Fantasy exceeds expectations! There is so much to explore across its sprawling regions, from bustling cities to tranquil forests to sun-scorched deserts.
One of my favorite activities is hunting down Tower of Fantasy‘s multitude of hidden chests. These contain rare materials, powerful weapons, cosmetics and more. But some chests are far better protected than others…
Enter the Ruin A-01 hard chests. Located deep within the underground cave network of Warren Region, these elusive chests contain exclusive epic and legendary tier loot!
In this comprehensive guide, I‘ll share everything you need to know to unlock all 6 Ruin A-01 hard chests in Tower of Fantasy and score their sweet rewards.
Ruin A-01 Overview – Braving the Labyrinth
The Ruin A-01 is a treacherous subterranean maze recommended for level 25+ players. Lurking within are powerful foes like the scythe-wielding Hyena Elites. Tread carefully, as death will force you to restart from the beginning.
I highly recommend equipping relics like Missile Barrage, Charge, and Glider before entering. These mobility tools make traversing A-01‘s vertical design much easier. Bring plenty of recovery items as well – you‘ll need them.
Now, let‘s get into how to find each hidden Ruin chest! I‘ve compiled maps with the exact locations marked for your reference.
Chest #1 Location – Cracking the Code
Upon entering Ruin A-01, hang a left and head down the torch-lit tunnel. You‘ll soon emerge into a room with flaming barrels and Hyena warriors.
Turn left again and you‘ll spot a conspicuous crackable wall. This is the location of Ruin A-01‘s first hidden chest.
Equip your Missile Barrage relic and blast away! Once the wall crumbles, walk through the new opening to claim your first epic rewards.
Chest #2 Location – Explosive Potential
After grabbing chest #1, keep pushing forward into the maze-like corridors. Be ready for ambushes from Hyena Spellblades and Crossbowmen.
Eventually you‘ll reach a larger cavern with some ramps and raised platforms. Look for an explosive barrel on the upper platform.
Lift and toss the barrel at the obvious crackable wall across the cavern. Kaboom – it‘s offshore chest #2!
Chest #3 Location – Barrel Bombs
After claiming chest #2, head down the ramp and prepare to battle more Hyenas on the grassy platforms below. Once clear, you‘ll notice two explosive barrels.
Grab one of the barrels and chuck it at the crackable wall dead ahead. The ensuing blast reveals chest #3. Halfway there!
Chest #4 Location – Statue Smashing
Stick to this grassy area after looting chest #3. Look for the large statue alcove located high up on the right wall.
You‘ll also spot another explosive barrel near chest #3. Hoist this barrel up and hurl it at the statue. The resulting explosion crumbles the statue, exposing chest #4 tucked away in the newly created cave opening.
Chest #5 Location – Cracking the Cliffside
For the second last chest, head left of the statue alcove and look along the neighboring cliff face. You should spot a prominent crackable section of wall.
Back up and bombard it with the Missile Barrage relic to blow a hole right to chest #5!
Final Chest Location – Skyhigh Surprise
Only one chest remains! From chest #5, head up the ramp and climb the wall on the left. Destroy the patrolling Hyenas and continue forward until you see more explosive barrels.
Look up and right for a crackable wall section well above. With no barrels nearby to throw, you‘ll need to manually detonate the barrels on the ground using your equipped weapon.
The resulting explosion should obliterate the wall. Use your jetpack or grappling hook to reach the new opening. Chest #6 awaits inside – claim that legendary loot!
