Concealed among the supply pods scattered across this perplexing realm is one of the most valuable rewards in the game – the Red Nucleus.
In the southern reaches of Artificial Island, between landmarks called Mine Base and Mount Sandy, rests an inconspicuous truck hovering just above the metallic ground. Solving the intricate puzzle hidden within grants you not just one, but two Red Nuclei for your effort.
As a long-time Tower of Fantasy player and expert gamer, I‘ve uncovered the full process for acquiring this incredible prize. In this comprehensive guide, you‘ll learn step-by-step techniques to triumph over the truck‘s secrets and expand your collection with these extremely rare nuclei.
Demystifying Artificial Island‘s Challenges
Before charting our course to the valuable nuclei, let‘s breakdown some of the core features and obstacles defining the Artificial Island experience to better understand the puzzles that await.
As Tower of Fantasy‘s first permanent end-game region focused on co-op exploration, Artificial Island delivers new scales of risk and reward. The entire realm features a alien, almost claustrophobic atmosphere crafted from cold, hard materials and bathed in neon hues.
Peppered across the landscape you‘ll discover small settlements, radio towers, loading bays, and laboratories. Frequent electromagnetic storms rush across the horizon, altering gravity and triggering environmental hazards. Strange interdimensional portals and crystals hint at wider mysteries.
Most notably, the remains of ancient wars between powerful civilizations litter Artificial Island. Magitech weaponry, massive mechs, and the ruined hulls of gigantic spaceships poke from the metallic earth. Their forgotten secrets and tremendous power tempt today‘s heroes.
And those beguiling supply pods – they hold much greater prizes than standard resources. Each one presents a unique puzzle the player must solve to unlock its contents. Rarities like Black Crystals, exclusive home furniture, precious weapon upgrade materials, and the exceptionally valuable Red Nuclei hide amongst them. But can you prove your worth?
I have spent over 50 hours immersed in Artificial Island since the Version 1.5 update launched, slowly unraveling its mechanical mysteries. Join me on an adventure to claim two Red Nuclei from the Artificial Island truck!
Step 1: Locate and Enter the Hidden Portal
Our expedition begins within the southern reaches of Artificial Island at a particular set of coordinates – 380.9 and 303.0. Reach this location by first teleporting to the Rusty Iron Camp fast travel point, then navigating south as shown below:

Jagged cliffs tower above and tangles of enormous roots burst from The Sea Beneath the artificial ground. In the distance, witness one of Artificial Island‘s dancing auroras painting the sky with vibrant neon ribbons.
When you finally arrive at coordinates 380.9 and 303.0, you‘ll discover a staggering stone structure blocking a hidden cave. Exceedingly durable, the formation can withstand attacks from even three-star weapons. To break through, I recommend assembling a full squad and executing a Charge bombardment using four-star or higher greatswords, polearms, shields, or bows. Activate Discharge effects just before each coordinated strike for maximum damage.
After about 5-10 concentrated attacks, the obstructing rock will burst apart in spectacular fashion, exposing a glowing red portal within the newly opened cavern. Step through to enter the hidden space beneath the truck.
Step 2: Descend to the Second Portal
Teleporting through the crimson gateway brings you onto a small platform directly under the truck‘s hovering chassis. Take a moment to observe just how massive the vehicle is from this perspective.
As you peer upward, a short cutscene activates, showcasing the truck from various angles before the camera centers on an important element: another red portal situated on the ground dozens of meters below the platform you currently stand on.

Then, execute a well-timed jump off the platform combined with gliding to travel the distance required. Activate your glider only once fully clear and aimed directly at the portal to avoid clipping the platform walls on the way down.
Passing through this portal teleports you inside cab of the Artificial Island truck near a small control console. More importantly, a standard supply pod rests in the center of the room. Interact with it to claim your first reward – one Red Nucleus: Proof of Special Order.
Obtaining the Second Red Nucleus
Finding the initial red nucleus marks completing the baseline puzzle, but a hidden compartment secured underneath the truck grants persistent explorers another lucrative prize.
I discovered this secret area on my own after thoroughly combing the truck interior and exterior following my initial nucleus acquisition. The compartment cover features very small cracks that you can spot if examining the vehicle‘s underside closely after teleporting back out from the first red nucleus supply pod.

Turn your camera angle toward the truck‘s underside to spot the barely noticeable compartment access outlined above.
You‘ll need to carefully glide or aim a Gravity Barrier to land on the surface to investigate further. Break the cover to reveal a hidden cave containing another standard supply pod. Interact with it to secure your prize – one additional Red Nucleus!
Obtaining two of these incredibly rare items for a single puzzle demonstrates why master explorers absolutely relish the challenge of Artificial Island. Keep searching to discover more phenomenal secrets tucked away throughout its metallic landscape!
Braving the Puzzle at Higher World Levels
The truck red nucleus puzzle remains accessible across all world levels, but takes greater time, skill, and strength to overcome at higher tiers. At World Level 5, for example, the durability of standard enemies and obstructive barriers doubles compared to the base level.
When attempting this puzzle above World Level 3, expect to use five-star or stronger weapons and a full, coordinated squad to break through obstructions efficiently. Stock extra healing items and dish out your most potent damage-over-time effects during the stone structure destruction process. The thicker armor-clad foes that wander nearby also prove distracting without careful handling.
While requiring greater effort, looting red nuclei at a higher world level nets additional bounty multipliers. This makes victory even sweeter for those bold enough to challenge Artificial Island‘s dangers head-on!
