How to "Purchase an LTV with a Turret at a Shop" in Warzone 2 DMZ: An Expert‘s Comprehensive Guide

As a long-time Call of Duty player and Warzone enthusiast, I was eager to try out the new DMZ mode when Modern Warfare 2 released. After countless hours exploring the open-world sectors and experimenting with missions, I‘ve unlocked many of DMZ‘s secrets that I‘m excited to share with you in this guide.

Specifically, we‘ll do a deep dive on purchasing an LTV with a turret at a shop – one of the most exciting early goals in DMZ.

My Background as a DMZ Expert

I‘ve been playing Call of Duty since the original Modern Warfare and have over 15 prestige levels across various COD titles. When Warzone first launched, I dove in head first, unlocking all weapons and honing my Battle Royale skills.

Now with DMZ, I‘ve found a whole new addictive game mode that scratches my looting and mission completion itches. Since DMZ released, I‘ve extracted over 50 times and completed well over 100 missions. I‘ve become intimately familiar with every sector of the Al Mazrah map and have unlocked most of the rare weapon blueprints and vehicles.

Equipped with this experience, I‘ll be your DMZ guide, sharing the optimal tips and strategies specifically for purchasing an LTV with a turret at a shop.

Overview of DMZ Mode

For those new to DMZ, here‘s a quick overview:

  • Open-world extraction mode across large Al Mazrah map
  • Take on missions from different factions to earn rewards
  • Missions have tiered difficulties and rewards
  • Loot for cash and gear to purchase items at Buy Stations
  • Survive against deadly AI combatants
  • Extraction completes the match and banks all rewards

It‘s an addictive mode that‘s part looter shooter, part survival game. Now let‘s get to our main objective.

How to Purchase an LTV with a Turret at a Shop

Purchasing the LTV with a turret requires two key steps:

  1. Earning enough cash
  2. Going to a Buy Station and buying the LTV

I‘ll cover each step in detail, along with tips to complete this mission consistently.

Step 1: Earning $18,000 Cash

The LTV with turret costs $18,000 at Buy Stations. Here are the best ways to earn cash quickly in DMZ:

  • Looting – Search chests, backpacks, and eliminated enemies. Loot items like cash bonuses, jewelry, and rare weapon blueprints to sell at Buy Stations. Each loot item nets $500-5,000+ cash.

  • Completing Contracts – Taking on Recon, Destroy, and Escort contracts rewards $3,000-5,000 cash each. Delivery contracts give $10,000+ for transporting cargo crates.

  • Eliminating AI Enemies – Killing enemies drops cash bonuses. Certain "high value target" enemies drop $3,000-5,000 each.

  • Selling Weapons/Equipment – Sell unwanted weapons, equipment and killstreaks at Buy Stations. Weapons net $1,000-4,000 based on rarity.

Item Sell Price
Common Weapon $1,000
Rare Weapon $2,000
Epic Weapon Blueprint $4,000
Armor Plate Box $3,000

With smart looting routes and some contract completions, I can typically earn $18,000 within 10-15 minutes in DMZ.

Step 2: Buying the LTV at a Buy Station

Once you have $18,000 cash, head to any Buy Station marked on your tac map. Interact with the Buy Station and select the following menu options:

Buy Station > Gear > LTV with Turret

This will instantly spawn a drivable LTV with a powerful turret weapon on top. The armored vehicle will be located close to the Buy Station.

Buying LTV at a Buy Station

With our LTV purchased, let‘s move on to dominating enemies with the turret!

Using the LTV Turret Effectively

The turret on the LTV packs a major punch but requires strategy and situational awareness to utilize well. Here are my top tips:

Positioning is Key

Place the LTV in locations that give wide visibility but also cover. Arrive early to claim the best positions before the enemy. Good spots include:

  • Residential Yards – Gives view of roads and houses with walls for cover

  • Ridgelines/High Ground – Allows raining down fire on low ground targets

  • Crashed Helicopter Sites – Provides height advantage and defensive walls

Target Prioritization

The turret excels at shredding groups of infantry. When engaging:

  • Target clusters of enemies first
  • Focus on closer threats then work outward
  • Quickly destroy deadly Snipers, Juggernauts, and Bomb/Riot Drones

Health Management

The LTV can take some damage but can still be destroyed. Manage health well:

  • Repair armor plates when damaged
  • Rotate turret to break enemy line of fire
  • Drive away and reposition if taking major damage

With good positioning, target selection, and health management, you‘ll dominate enemies with the LTV turret!

Destroying the LTV in Mawizeh Marshlands

For the final step, you need to drive the LTV to the Mawizeh Marshlands sector and destroy it there.

Mawizeh is in the northwest region of the map. It‘s characterized by marshes, muddy swamps, and old ruins.

Once you enter the area and see "Mawizeh Marshlands" on your screen, find a safe spot, exit the LTV, and destroy it by damaging it with explosives.

This completes the mission!

Further Missions to Try in DMZ

While purchasing an LTV with a turret is exciting, it‘s just the beginning of DMZ‘s missions. Here are some other great early goals I recommend:

Destroy Missions – Blow up objectives like AA guns, helicopters, trucks, and caches. Rewards $8,000+ cash each.

Escort Missions – Escort a VIP and extract them safely. Gives exclusive contraband weapon rewards.

Jailbreak Missions – Rescue prisoners and extract together. Unlocks operators and skins.

Black Mous Missions – Take on elite missions for high-tier loot. Must reach Level 10 to access.

Challenges – Complete mode-specific challenges for big XP rewards to rank up faster.

As you can see, there are tons of missions to grind for loot in DMZ. For more tips, check out my other COD DMZ guides, and may your extracts be plentiful!
