Tower of Fantasy‘s massive version 1.5 update introduced an exciting artificial island area for players to explore. But traversing the island requires obtaining three elusive Permission Cards, including the tricky Morris card.
As a Tower of Fantasy expert with first-hand experience acquiring these cards, I‘ve created the ultimate guide to help you get Permission Card Morris. Follow along for detailed walkthroughs, combat tips, and troubleshooting to access the artificial island‘s hidden treasures!
A New Frontier: Exploring Tower of Fantasy‘s Enigmatic Artificial Island
Before jumping into the Morris card acquisition itself, let‘s briefly discuss the new artificial island zone. Based on player discoveries, this mysterious manmade location seems to be a research facility filled with valuable resources.
Scattered across the island you can find supply pods overflowing with loot, strange data logs hinting at experiments, and glittering gold nuclei – making exploration incredibly rewarding. There‘s also new quests, enemies and objectives to complete.
But adventuring here requires lowering the ominous Barrier Dome enveloping the island first. This is where Morris‘ Permission Card comes in, so let‘s get right into obtaining it!
Step-by-Step Walkthrough: Locating and Activating Permission Card Morris
Here is the full sequence of steps, explained in great depth, to acquire Morris‘ card and use it to access the artificial island:
Phase 1: Traversing Sea Horizon Stand and Battling the Mountain Peak Elites
The first phase focuses on making our way to the mountain peak where Morris‘ card is located:
-
Fast travel to Sea Horizon Stand – Open your map and pick this coastal zone on the southeast side of Astra. Sea Horizon Stand has a giant mountain you can‘t miss.
-
Locate the tallest mountain – Scan the horizon for the largest mountain visible from shore. It should have glowing blue lights along its peaks. This is your destination.
-
Climb up the mountain – Circling around the left side, you‘ll find climbable cliff faces to scale up the mountain. Beware of minor enemies like crabs along the way.
-
Conserve stamina reaching the peak – Don‘t use stamina-draining dodge moves as you climb. Conserve it for the upcoming boss fight!
-
Defeat elite enemies guarding the peak – Once at the flat summit, you‘ll encounter powerful enemies like Level 55 Valkyries and Dragons. This is one of the toughest open-world fights in the game, so come prepared!
Based on my experience, here are tips to defeat the mountain peak elites:
-
Recommended team: Bring 1-2 shieldbreakers like Samir or King. Have Crow or Nemesis for healing support. Round it off with a DPS like Frigg or Claudia.
-
Recommended gear level: Ensure your weapons are at least Level 50 purples. Upgrade relics to at least Level 5 for the added CS.
-
Use AOEs: Thepeak spawns groups of 2-3 elite enemies at once. Use discharge skills like Samir‘s Phantasia or Claudia‘s Lethal Torrent to damage them simultaneously.
-
Kite and dodge: Continuously reposition yourself to avoid being surrounded while dishing out damage safely. Don‘t get greedy!
-
Freeze exploit: Enemies frozen by Frigg‘s skills take 200% more shatter damage. Use this to your advantage!
With persistence and the right setup, you‘ll clear out the mountain peak elites. Now it‘s time to claim your reward!
Phase 2: Obtaining Permission Card Morris and Activating the Transmission Device
After defeating the enemies, here are the remaining steps to get and use Morris‘ Permission Card:
-
Collect Permission Card Morris – In the center of the mountain peak is a cube holding Morris‘ card. Interact with it to add the key item to your inventory.
-
Pick up the Gold Nucleus – A gold nucleus also spawns after clearing the elites. Make sure to grab this rare resource!
-
Fast travel to Estuary – Open your map and select the Estuary subsection of Spacerift zone next.
-
Cross the islands – Exit onto the beach and traverse east across the Island of Pins. Use mounts or take out minor enemies along the way.
-
Locate the transmission device – On a small island at the end, you‘ll find a large transmission device. Interact with its control panel.
-
Use Permission Card Morris – When prompted, select Morris‘ card from your inventory to activate the transmission device.
-
Stand on the device – The area will glow blue. Step into it to get teleported instantly to the Listen to Earwyn Island.
And just like that, Permission Card Morris is yours! With this critical item in hand, you can now gain access to the coveted artificial island zone.
Maximizing Your Chance of Success: Combat, Exploration and Troubleshooting Tips
While the walkthrough provides the basic steps, here are some advanced tips from my personal experience to overcome challenges you may face:
Picking the Optimal Team Composition
-
Shieldbreakers are mandatory – Enemies here have massive shield bars. You need shieldbreak weapons like Samir or King to lower their defenses.
-
Have a healer – Nemesis or Coco are great options to keep your team healthy during the grueling peak battle.
-
DPS and charge – Bring your hardest hitting DPS like Crow, Frigg or Claudia. Weave in charge attacks in-between combos to output huge damage.
-
Use food buffs – ATK/HP food buffs give the edge you need. I recommend Fried Fish Platter for the 15% ATK bonus.
Recommended Gear and Stats
Based on community data mining, here are the recommended levels to defeat the mountain peak elites:
-
Weapons: Level 50+ purple weapons
-
Suppressors: Level 15+ blue suppressors
-
Relics: Level 5 blue Matrix chips for the 40% ATK bonus
-
CS: Target 20,000+ CS to safely clear the enemies
With this setup, you‘ll have the firepower to take down the elites guarding the Morris card.
Exploration Tips for the Transmission Device Area
-
Use a jetboard or other mount when crossing the islands to conserve stamina for fights.
-
Watch out for Crabnacles that emerge from the sand and attack. Their pincers deal high damage.
-
Activating the transmission device consumes Morris‘ card permanently, so don‘t accidentally use it early!
Troubleshooting Common Issues
-
Dying at the peak: Retry with a shieldbreaker and healer. Also lower World Level if you still struggle.
-
Elite enemies respawned: Unfortunately the mountain peak enemies fully respawn if you teleport away. You must defeat them again.
-
Card missing from device: Double check your inventory as the card is consumed after using. If it‘s still missing, you may need to obtain it again.
-
Stuck off Earwyn Island: Use the return function or speak to NPC Botanist Liv to return back to Astra.
With these tips, you‘ll be able to tackle any obstacle in your way to getting Permission Card Morris. Let me know in the comments if you have any other questions!
