Cracking the Vault: A Pro Gamer‘s Guide to Looting the Mawizeh Resort in Warzone 2 DMZ

The brand new sandbox mode DMZ brings welcome changes to Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, with one of the most exciting additions being the sprawling Mawizeh Resort point of interest. As a veteran gamer with over 200 hours in Warzone, I‘m here to provide an in-depth guide to securing the Resort‘s main building key and unlocking its secrets.

DMZ 101 – An Immersive New Warzone Mode

For those diving into DMZ for the first time, here‘s a quick primer. DMZ takes place on the massive new Al Mazrah map and tasks you with completing missions, looting gear, and extracting safely. You retain your weaponry between matches, bringing an engaging sense of progression.

DMZ incorporates AI enemies, side objectives, and new mechanics like backpacks for hauling extra gear. It provides a fresh competitive experience compared to standard Warzone – more open world, with tactical decisions versus pure run-and-gun.

Keys are essential for unlocking supply caches in major buildings. Read on for intel on acquiring the most valuable key of all – the Mawizeh Resort.

Pinpointing Mawizeh Resort on Al Mazrah

The Mawizeh Resort is located along the southern shore of Al Mazrah, just southwest of the Mawizeh Marshlands POI.

When viewing your tac map and coordinates, you‘ll spot Mawizeh Resort west of the Marshlands near the lake shoreline. It‘s distinguishable as a large, angular building complex overlooking the water.

I recommend studying the map ahead of time and planning an insertion route to optimize your pathing. Move through the nearby community district and use pipelines and radio towers to navigate towards the Resort.

Obtaining the Coveted Mawizeh Resort Key

The iconic Mawizeh Resort key doesn‘t come easy. Based on my experience across dozens of DMZ raids, here are the most likely places to secure one:

  • Eliminating AI Combatants: Enemies have ~5% chance of dropping the Resort key when killed. Prioritize named elite enemies for better odds.

  • Completing Contracts: HVT contracts reward a guaranteed key! I‘d rank these as the most reliable method.

  • Searching Loot Containers: Check every crate and bag – they have a ~3% Resort key drop rate.

  • Scavenging Marshlands: The surrounding area has scattered key spawns. Thoroughly sweep this POI.

  • Trading with Factions: Building reputation can let you buy keys from faction leaders.

My advice is to take out every enemy in your path and be meticulous in scouring containers. With persistence and some luck, the Resort key will be yours!

Breaching the Resort and Clearing Each Floor

Key finally in hand, you‘re ready to hit the resort itself. The front door is your access point – interact and unlock it to step inside.

The ground floor serves as the lobby and dining area. Take out any hostile stragglers then start grabbing loot. You‘ll find higher tier weapons, armor satchels, and gear here versus standard buildings.

Next, check the stairwells to reach the 2nd floor hotel rooms and top floor lounge. Each floor ramps up in loot quality, with the highest tier items on the roof.

Make sure to check every room thoroughly – leave no stone unturned. The Resort has tons of container spawns waiting to be found.

Bring your largest backpack and weapon slots to extract with maximum loot. Prioritize rare weapon blueprints, killstreaks, and armor bundles.

Unlocking the Secrets of the Mawizeh Resort

As you can see, breaching the Mawizeh Resort presents a jackpot scenario in DMZ. Early control lets you stock up on elite gear to overpower enemies for the rest of the match.

I recommend hitting Resort first during initial drops. Then quickly push to high value areas like Observatory, Marshlands, or Zaya District to round out your loot run.

With the Resort key, you hold the power to unlock DMZ domination. For your next Al Mazrah infiltration, put this intel to work. And for more key tips, check out my guides on the Zarqwa Apartment Key, Mawizeh Cell Shop Key, and beyond.

Time to put that backpack to use! Now get out there, operators.
