1. Roronoa Zoro
The first crew member of the Strawhats and the second hand for the future Pirate King Luffy. Zoro aims to become the best swordsman in the world, and by doing that, he will have to defeat the current greatest swordsman, Mihawk.
Zoro has a unique style of using his swords; he uses three swords to fight! Two swords are held with both hands, and one is born with his mouth. Zoro has incredible physical strength and raw power, although he lacks direction.
2. Portgas D. Ace
Luffy’s older brother and the son of the King of the Pirate, Gol D. Roger. Ace is an interesting character with an interesting goal in mind. Although he went out to the sea to be the King of the Pirates, he gave his allegiance to White Beard instead and promised to make him the King of the Pirate instead.
Ace hated Roger and acknowledged White Beard as his only father. He ate the Mera Mera no Mi fruit, which allows him to unleash and turn his body into flames.
3. Trafalgar D. Law
Law is one of the worst generation pirates, having a bounty of over 200 million. In the past, he was diagnosed with a deadly disease that couldn’t be cured. The spread of this disease has caused the elimination of his whole town and his family.
However, Law could cure himself by eating Ope Ope no Mi devil fruit, naming himself as the Surgeon of Death. Law can open a room and have full control of everything inside it. No matter what’s inside, he can easily cut it with his sword.
4. Donquixote Doflamingo
The mastermind that ruled Dressrosa after dethroning the royal king. One of the biggest antagonists in the story. Doflamingo is a Celestial Dragon banished because his father wanted to live a normal life. Doflamingo suffered, and his mother died because of it, and for that reason, he shot his father and killed him.
He is an intimidating figure that can use Conqueror Haki. His devil fruit is called Ito Ito no Mi, allowing him to control strings that can cut buildings, walls, or control people. Doflamingo is known for having the best demonic laugh in One Piece.
5. Shanks
Red Haired Shanks is the pirate who accidentally fed Luffy the Gumo Gumo no Mi devil fruit. He was also the one to inspire him to set sail. We were all surprised when we understood who Shanks was. An Emperor, a former member of the King of the Pirates, and one of the strongest sworders rival Mihawk.
Shanks has lots of influence globally, enough to stop the Marineford War. Not only that, but he is super strong without even having a devil fruit.
6. Vinsmoke Sanji
Another Strawhat on the list is no one other than Black Leg Sanji. He is the Chef and the cook of the crew; his food is extremely delicious to the point that he could make a cake that Yonko Big Mom became hypnotized by.
Sanji has made an oath to only use his hands to cook, not fight with; that’s why his strength and powers are found in his legs, making him an excellent fighter that rivals Zoro. Sanji is also known to be super thirsty for women.
7. Dracule Mihawk
Also known as “Hawk Eyes” for his super intimidating and unique eyes. Mihawk is the strongest swordsman in the world. He was introduced early into the series and fought with Zoro, leaving him on the verge of death only because Zoro earned his respect.
Mihawk is also one of the seven warlords of the sea, used by the government to maintain balance in the world. He also has one of the rarest swords in the world, a huge blade in the shape of a cross.
8. Eustass Kid
Another pirate from the worst generation. Prior to the time skip, he held the highest bounty among all the worst generations. The kid is a rival to Luffy and Law, him being the captain, he aims to become the King of the Pirates.
His devil fruit is called Jiki Jiki no Mi, a fruit that allows him to have full control over magnetic force, allowing him to strip weapons from his enemies and shape them together into a huge metallic arm to use as an attack.
9. Marco The Phoenix
The first commander of the White Beard pirates. Marco is a close friend to Ace and an Ally to Luffy. He fought in the Marineford war to rescue Ace. Marco has a great outgoing personality; even in fights, he has a sense of humor.
He could face off one of the Admirals and send them flying. His power source is a mythical devil fruit named Tori Tori no Mi, which allows him to turn into a blue flaming phoenix, capable of regenerating any damage he takes.
10. Monkey D. Luffy
The future Pirate King and the main protagonist of One Piece. Luffy has truly earned his charm after the time skip in terms of appearance. He received a scar on his chest, and his body became much more muscular.
However, even before all that, Luffy could charm Boa Hancock, the most beautiful woman on the sea. With that being said, there is no doubt that Luffy deserves to be on this list. His devil fruit power is called Gomu Gomu no Mi, allowing him to be a rubber man.
11. Smoker
The White Hunter and one of the Marines Officers. A smoker is one of the few good individuals in the Marine. Although he looks grumpy most of the time, he has a very kind heart. Smoker made it his goal to capture Luffy, as he encountered him multiple times.
However, Luffy does not see him as an enemy but a good person on the opposite side. Smoker ate the Moku Moku no Mi, a fruit that allows him to turn into smoke, which explains the constant cigar being smoked by him.
12. Cavendish
Introduced in Dressrosa, he was first seen as a pirate with a grudge against Luffy, but it didn’t take long for him to become one of Luffy’s allies. Cavendish is also known as the Pirate Prince, being very handsome and charming for all ladies, especially with the red rose he holds between his lips.
Cavendish is a swordsman, he didn’t eat any devil fruit, but he is a powerful character. Even though we haven’t seen the limit of his strength, he can turn into a fearsome figure once he goes to sleep, moving at a super-fast speed and killing anyone on sight with his sword.
13. Sabo
Luffy’s presumably dead brother, Sabo, is a child of royalty, coming from the Celestial Dragons as his origin and making him the first character in the story to have a different mindset than his whole clan of ‘Gods.’ Sabo was taken by Monkey D. Dragon, trained and became a Revolutionary Army's Chief.
As the second strongest in the whole army, Sabo got even stronger after claiming Ace’s devil fruit. He has plenty of powerful moves, like the Dragon Fist that is empowered by his Haki.
14. Rob Lucci
A former member of the CP-9 and a current member in the CP-0. Lucci is a direct agent to the world government. He is infamous for being cold and for his complete obedience to the world government and Celestial Dragons.
Rob Lucci has been trained to be an assassin ever since he was a child; he then ate the Neko Neko no Mi devil fruit that allows him to turn into a leopard. He was the strongest among CP-9, and he almost defeated Luffy if only it weren't for Luffy’s great endurance.
15. Charlotte Katakuri
The second son of Yonko Big Mom. Katakuri is a character you can’t hate. His love for his sister Brulee can be easily seen during his fight with Luffy. He was enraged after stopping Luffy from attacking his little sister. Not just that, Katakuri was protective of Brulee ever since they were children.
With his introduction came a new power that we have never seen, the power to predict the future using Haki. Katakuri also ate the Mochi Mochi no Mi fruit, which resembles Luffy’s rubber abilities. Katakuri is a man of honor, enough to gain Luffy’s respect.
16. Silvers Rayleigh
The former right hand of Gol D. Roger, King of the Pirates. Rayleigh is an extremely strong individual who maintained as much of his strength as he could even after growing in age. Rayleigh is the Dark King; his combat strength is beyond overpowered.
Capable of stopping Marco’s attack with a single finger. He has not eaten any devil fruit, which makes him insanely strong compared to others. Rayleigh has helped train Luffy during the time skip.
17. Basil Hawkins
Another pirate of the worst generation. Hawkins had a bounty worth over 200 million prior to the time skip. He formed an Alliance with Eustass Kid but was quickly broken when Kaido appeared nowhere. Having no choice but to switch sides, he became a pirate working under Yonko Kaido.
Hawkins ate the Wara Wara no Mi devil fruit, giving him the ability to manipulate straw. But his power is much beyond that; he is capable of predicting future events using his card, as well as gaining random power boosts depending on what the cards have in store.
18. Kuzan
Also known as Aokiji, he is a former Admiral of the Marines and one of the elected members to become a Fleet Admiral. Unlike other Marines, Aokiji has seen the horrors of the world government and the decisions made by his comrade Sakazuki, all in the name of Justice.
Knowing how corrupt things would become when Sakazuki became Fleet Admiral, he resigned. Aokiji has eaten the Hie Hie no Mi, becoming an iceman that can manipulate ice. He is capable of freezing the entire surface of the sea for days.
19. Enel
Self-proclaimed God in Skypiea. Enel has eaten the Goro Goro no Mi, which allows him to control lightning, as well as turn his body in lightning. Enel has a super-strong devil fruit that could defeat the entire Strawhat crew and the party of Skypiea with ease.
All but Luffy, however, because rubber is immune to lightning. If that natural disadvantage weren’t a thing, Enel would have easily defeated Luffy. If Enel were a pirate, he would have at least a bounty of 500 Million, confirmed by the author Oda himself. He is an egoistic individual that finds himself worthy of being a god.
20. Kozuki Oden
Named after the delicious Oden meal, he is the former Daimyo of Wano and a descendant of the Kozuki clan, the people responsible for writing the Poneglyphs, which are stones with lettered carved onto them. Those stones hold the history of the world, and Oden was able to read them.
Oden became an important figure that would stand next to White Beard and Gol D. Roger in terms of strength. He also knows the history of the world, and he also knows what the mysterious treasure of One Piece is.
