Hello Fellow Collector! Welcome to My Funko Pop Extravaganza

As a data whiz and vinyl hoarder, I‘ve compiled this epic list of the most creative, valueble Funko Pops that would make any collector geek out. Get ready to feast your eyes on limited edition grails, one-of-a-kind designs, and exclusive insights from your resident Funko fanatic!

So What Makes a Funko Special Anyway?

Before we dive in, it helps to understand why certain Pops are so rare and sought after. As a starting point, Funko translations of iconic film, TV, music and video game characters into those cute bobblehead molds we know and love.

What many don‘t realize is that Funko produces limited edition variants of certain molds. I‘m talking ultra low print runs of 24 units or less! They leverage partnerships, Comic Con exclusives, commemorative product lines and more to drive up demand.

Then you‘ve for manufacturing complexities that come with glow in the dark variants, translucent or chrome paint jobs, dual character molds and signed memorabilia inserts. And thus these special edition Pops become the holy grails for us collectors!

Let‘s explore exactly what makes the top six so special, counting down…

#6 Best Metallic: Blue Chrome Batman

Kicking things off we have a vibrant take on the caped crusader himself. Cast in an eye-catching metallic sheen, this Batman Funko translates his high tech armored suit into a slick blue chrome paint job.

Blue Metallic Batman Funko

Edition Size 480 units
Year Released San Diego Comic Con 2010 Exclusive
Average Value $1,100 and rising!
What Makes it Special Metallic chrome plating, ultra low production run, pristine boxes selling for $5K+

As a superhero fan I geek out over the blue chrome treatment given to Batman‘s armor. Fun fact – metallic paint jobs require exceptional care during manufacturing to come out looking chromey and smooth!

Given it‘s San Diego Comic Con exclusivity way back in 2010, finding one today in good condition goes for upwards of $1,100! And mint condition boxes can auction for $5-10K!

Clearly Funko went the extra mile translating Batman‘s tech powered suit into this slick prize worthy of the Wayne family vaults. Now onto an iconic horror grail oozing with battle wounds…

#5 Rarest Overall: Bloody Jaime Lannister Freddy

Next up we venture into Westeros for a shockingly rare Game of Thrones icon – the one and only Bloody Jaime Lannister! Cast as the exclusive "Freddy Funko" variant, it depicts Jamie fresh from battle and covered in gore.

Blood Jaime Lannister Funky Pop GITD

Edition Size 12 Commons / 12 GITD Chases
Year Released 2013 San Diego Comic Con Exclusive
Average Value $15,000 – $25,000!
What Makes It Special Extremely limited 24 units total, iconic character, glow chase variant

I‘ll admit I was shocked to learn only 24 unites were produced – 12 common Freddy figures and 12 epic glow chase editions! Rumor has it Funko had to custom create an entirely new Freddy mold just for this iconic Game of Thrones character. That my friends is true dedication!

Given the tiny production run at a major convention in 2013, I‘m astounded CGC slabbed boxes go for $15-25K regularly at auction. Owning this GoT grail is the ultimate power flex for any vinyl addict!

Let‘s head back to the 1980‘s next for a truly freaky and unique mold…

#4 Weirdest Design: B.A Baracus A-Team Van

I‘m just going to come out and say it – this B.A. Baracus Funko Pop makes no logical sense! But that sheer absurdity is exactly why collectors like us go crazy for it!

Get this… it‘s B.A. heads and torso fused onto the iconic black A-Team tactical van from the classic 80‘s series. I‘ll give you a moment to wrap your head around that visual!

BA Baracus Funko Pop

Edition Size 1,500 units
Year Released San Diego Comic Con 2016 Exclusive
Average Value $70 and rising!
What Makes It Special Hilarious mashup mold, iconic 80‘s series

I‘ll give kudos where it‘s due – designing a quality mold with B.A fused to the legendary A-Team ride is no small feat! Engineers had to custom build this bad boy exclusively for Comic Con 2016.

Sure, it makes no sense, but that sheer absurdity gives it an avant garde quality collectors like us go ga-ga for! Toss in the bobblehead and flashy paint job and you‘ve got a quintessential conversation starter.

Let‘s pick up the pace with our nextSELECTION…
