How to Get Lechonk in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

The new Pokemon adventures Scarlet and Violet let you freely explore the open world Paldea region and catch hundreds of quirky creatures. One charming new Pokemon is Lechonk, a little pig Pokemon with a big appetite. This guide explains how to find and catch Lechonk for your team.

An Overview of Lechonk

According to details from the Pokemon company, Lechonk is a normal-type Pokemon, number 10 in the Paldea region Pokedex. These little pigs can be found roaming woodlands in southern Paldea near the starting point of your journey.

Lechonk are described as focusing intently when eating within the game. So if you explore the forests and menus in south Paldea, you may catch sight of a Lechonk snuffling for acorns on the ground.

Locating Lechonk‘s Habitat

To find where Lechonks live, head south from your beginning town towards the woodlands. Specifically, travel down the first forest path you take after setting off on your adventure.

Once in these starter woods, peek around trees and patches of tall grass. If you spot a Lechonk wandering and grazing, approach cautiously before it moves away.

Catching a Lechonk In Battle

When you encounter a Lechonk, immediately engage it in battle before it can flee. Have one of your own Pokemon unleash attacks to whittle this wild Pokemon‘s health down.

Tip: Get its health low to make catching easier, but don‘t knock it out or it will faint!

When the Pokémon is weakened, open your bag and throw a Poké Ball. It may take a few tries depending on the Lechonk‘s remaining strength. But eventually the ball should suck it inside!

Training Your Lechonk

Once caught, Lechonk can be a fun companion for your journey! As a normal-type it won‘t have special strengths or weaknesses, but can hold its own in battle.

Give your Lechonk a nickname and train it through fights with other Pokemon. It should grow stronger over time, while also scrounging for bonus snacks!

You can catch multiple Lechonks too and store them at Poké Centers to swap into your roster. So hunt this focused eater in southern woodlands, and start building your Lechonk brigade!
