How to Find the Town of Yngovani in Diablo 4

As an avid action RPG fan with over 200 hours across the Diablo trilogy, uncovering hidden corners like the Town of Yngovani is what I live for in these games. As you journey through the dark fantasy world of Diablo 4, you‘ll come across all manner of decrepit locales and mysterious ruins. Read on as I guide you to locating one such area on the “Wrack & Ruin” side questline – an adventure truly befitting the Lord of Terror!

Where is Yngovani Located?

Yngovani lies nestled within the northwest reaches of Scosglen, itself a sprawling zone comprising bleak moors, crumbling ruins, and remnants of bloody battlefields. According to Diablo lore, Scosglen was once a prosperous city-state before demonic influences led it into dark occult worship – quite fitting thematically!

As you traverse Scosglen’s circular central sub-zone, home to errant ghosts and spectral legionnaires, head clockwise staying left until you reach a decrepit stone archway. This marks the threshold to Yngovani proper, now overgrown by thorny vines and all manner forgotten save for malicious serpents and a few clinging survivors.

~Pro tip: Stick to the high ground as you navigate between landmarks to avoid ambushes!~

Step-by-Step Guide through Yngovani

Once within the remnants of Yngovani using the directions provided, here is precisely how to uncover its secrets:

  1. Approach the Yngovani ruins from the northwest side of the circular Scosglen subzone.

  2. Head to the partially collapsed temple on the northwest edge of town, marked by an eerie red glow from within.

  3. Ascend the stairs fronting the temple and search the mangled cultist corpse to retrieve the Right Eye artifact – gruesome! This eye unlocks the way forward.

  1. Journey north battling corrupted serpents to reach a sheltered ritual site, containing rare crafting materials and the Left Eye needed for the temple.

~Note: A random Champion serpent guards the Left Eye here – be ready for a tense showdown!~

  1. Return south to the temple and insert both Eye artifacts into the matching door slots to unlock the seal.

  1. Seek out and speak to the mortally wounded bandit just north of the temple to receive your next clue, as he rasps out "…the slithering dark stirs below, seeker…"

And that covers unlocking the Town of Yngovani! By investigating this secluded ruin and revived an eldritch ritual, you‘ve stirred up some sinister force lurking beneath Scosglen…

Additional Tips from My Playthrough

Over repeated visits to Yngovani across different characters, I‘ve compiled some helpful supplemental advice:

  • The ruined houses harbor potential rare gear drops and crafting components like Forgotten Soul Fragments. Thoroughly searching while clearing out enemies can give your build a boost!

  • When battling past the serpents, timing dodges against their Lunge attack is essential. Memorize their patterns rather than button mashing!

  • Further exploring Yngovani‘s underground tunnels past the quest reveals more about the resident cult‘s sacrificial rituals. There may even be powerful relics still undiscovered down there…

  • This side quest unlocks at level 19, but don‘t attempt until at least level 24 when you have more skills and gear unlocked. The Champion serpent hits brutally hard!
