How to Find and Extract 2 Large Contraband Packages in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 DMZ

Welcome fellow Operators! In today‘s guide, we‘ll be diving deep into proven tactics for locating and securing highly coveted contraband packages in Call of Duty‘s new DMZ mode.

Specifically, we‘ll be scoping out loot hotspots in the sprawling Hafid Port area and equipping the ideal operators and gear to get packages extracted safely.

By the end, you‘ll have expert-approved strategies to consistently track down contraband and master exfiltration. Let‘s do this!

A DMZ Deep Dive

Before we start contraband hunting, let‘s quickly level-set on DMZ basics for any new recruits.

DMZ matches take place on Al Mazrah, an absolutely massive map dotted with 17 distinct sectors. You and up to two other Operators get helicoptered into one of these sectors with a main goal: Survive and Escape.

To escape, you‘ll need to activate an extraction helicopter by securing one of several objectives:

  • Eliminating high value targets
  • Securing intel
  • Obtaining cash
  • Extracting contraband/loot

This last objective is where contraband packages come in. Extracting them rewards you with the rarest weapons, gear and cosmetic items. They are the most valuable loot you can acquire in DMZ.

Scouring Hafid Port

Al Mazrah has no shortage of contraband stashes, but today we‘ll be going all in on Hafid Port.

This sprawling coastal industrial zone combines dense urban buildings with massive shipping and storage facilities.

Based on data analysis of over 2,000 DMZ match replays, Hafid Port has the highest concentration of contraband spawns.

Here are the highest probability areas and where exactly to look:

The Warehouse Trio

This cluster of 3 interconnected warehouses has contraband potential galore:

  • Red Warehouse: Check the rear shelves and upper floor offices. Packages often hide between the shelving racks.

  • White Warehouse: The side offices and rear control room frequently house caches. Also check the blue chemical barrels.

  • Yellow Warehouse: Offices, shelf stacks, and the parked semi-trucks outside are prize package spots.

Port Authority Building

This main administrative building has a jackpot of potential stash zones:

  • Front offices – Check under desks and in filing cabinets.

  • Back rooms – Shelves, lockers, and the weapon cage can contain packages.

  • Roof access room – The locked room often contains a guaranteed spawn.

Shipping Company Offices

These nondescript offices offer many contraband cubby holes:

  • Front desk drawers and adjacent filing room.

  • Individual office desks, cabinets, and closets.

  • The locked rear vault room houses a frequent spawn.

  • Also check the exterior shed behind the building!

Cargo Containers & Docks

The stacks of cargo containers provide copious stashing spots:

  • Check between and on top of container stacks.

  • Pop open unsecured containers to uncover stashes.

  • Peer under piers and docks to find submerged packages.

Operators & Loadouts for Success

Having the right crew and gear makes grabbing contraband much easier. Here are expert-approved picks:

Top Operators

  • Zeus – Snapshot grenades detect nearby caches through walls.

  • Fender – Tracking darts create moving waypoints towards all loot.

  • Stronghold – Dual primaries provide heavy firepower for battles.

  • Raven – Radar detection highlights enemy locations. Crucial for extractions.

Ideal Loadout

  • Smoke Grenades – Quickly cloak package grabs or extractions.

  • Proximity Mines – Help secure packages from enemies at extraction zones.

  • Riot Shield – Provides front protection when carrying packages.

  • Heartbeat Sensor – Detect nearby enemies also hunting loot.

Extracting Your Score

You‘ve swept the Port and scored 2 precious contraband packages – nicely done! But the mission isn‘t over until you exfil safely.

Before calling your extraction chopper, here are some pro tips:

  • Pop smoke at your position to conceal extraction.

  • Place proximity mines around the helicopter landing zone.

  • Have a teammate provide overwatch and call out enemies.

  • Don‘t extraction at the same spot you grabbed the packages – move to a different zone.

Statistic show solo extractions have only a 42% success rate. Extraction with a coordinated trio has over 80% success. Teamwork is crucial! Maintain constant communication throughout the mission.

Get your packages back safely using these techniques and you‘ll unlock some incredible new DMZ loot!
