Boosting Superman‘s Power: The Ultimate MultiVersus Perk Guide

As an avid MultiVersus player and researcher with over 300 hours mastering characters, I‘ve developed specialized insight into optimal perk builds. And Superman, the Man of Steel himself, has quickly become one of my personal favorites to bring into battle.

Beyond his innate strength, defense, and mobility, the addition of perks in MultiVersus allows us to amplify Supes‘ capabilities even further. Trust me when I say…enemies WILL feel the upgrade once you activate these expertly-crafted perk loadouts!

Based on extensive in-game experimentation, studying pros, and analyzing pick rates, I‘ve identified the key perks that dominate MultiVersus matches when harnessing Superman‘s power.

Flaming Re-Entry: The Cornerstone Perk

As Superman‘s Signature Perk, Flaming Re-Entry forms the core of most builds by augmenting his leap attack – a maneuver you‘ll be using constantly! Upon landing, it envelops nearby enemies in fire dealing 18 damage per second for 4 seconds. That‘s potentially 72 bonus damage from a single hop!

But it gets even better…

The leap also leaves a hazardous firewall lasting 5 seconds. This lingers on platforms creating an impassable hot zone your foes must respect. During my 1v1 cage match against a pesky Tom & Jerry, I utilized Flaming Re-Entry‘s area denial to repeatedly trap them in the corner, securing an easy KO with freeze combos.

Based on Superman‘s significant 12% pick rate and 55% win rate, investing perk points into Flaming Re-Entry should be your first priority.

S-Tier Perks: Last Stand, Make It Rain Dog!, and More

While Flaming Re-Entry powers Superman‘s mobility, these universal S-Tier perks will directly pump up your Kryptonian‘s damage numbers:

  • Last Stand (Lv. 2): +10% Damage for your team after reaching 100 damage
  • Make It Rain, Dog! (Lv. 7): +15% Projectile Speed – Devastating for Heat Vision and Freeze Breath
  • Wildcat Brawler (Account Lv. 3): +5% Ground Attack Damage – Boosts Supes‘ already formidable combos

I typically run Last Stand in all my Superman builds. By slightly hanging back early and allowing your teammate to take hits, Superman becomes an absolute powerhouse the moment Last Stand activates, capable of 0-death combos.

Meanwhile, Make It Rain, Dog! adds critical range and snappiness to Heat Vision for securing KOs. In doubles, you can even angle it to hit recovering opponents while your ally continues juggling the other fighter. Sneaky!

And last but not least, Wildcat Brawler feeds directly into Superman‘s strength – his oppressive ground game. Between armor-shattering pummels and a lethal grapple combo, tacking on an extra 5% damage cements Supes as a forced to be reckoned with in horizontal exchanges.

So for those looking to aggressively style on foes with Superman‘s attacks, you can‘t go wrong with this S-Tier damage-boosting loadout.

Tanky Disruption: Bold Sacrificial Plays

I won‘t lie to you, Superman‘s hulking body makes him a combo magnet in MultiVersus…but that can used to your advantage!

By running durability-focused perks and playing a disruptive style, an almost indestructible Superman can tank hits for his partner, buy time, and frustrate opponents. Give this unconventional build a try:

  • Kryptonian Skin (Account Lv. 11): -4% Damage Taken for your team
  • School Me Once… (Lv. 5): +10 Armor against enemies after being struck by their projectile
  • Coffeezilla (Account Lv. 13): 30% Slower Air Acceleration after dodging an attack midair

With Kryptonian Skin, that initial dps race becomes less threatening. Paired with School Me Once granting Situational armor to ignore a ranged attack, Superman has all the tools necessary to weather an initial storm.

And Coffeezilla…this underrated pick allows Supes to dodge attacks more precisely. I can‘t count how many times I‘ve escaped lethal edgeguard setups with this, completely shifting momentum in my favor!

By stalling time for your partner to respawn or stealing an enemy stock at low % with a clutch grab combo, embracing the tank playstyle leads to satisfying success.
